Side Effects of Deca Durabolin

Deca is promoted as an anabolic steroid that is very mild and has very little side effects when compared with other anabolic steroids. This is not fully true and there are some facts that should be made known. The impression that Deca is mild is an outdated idea from the time when not much was known about such steroids. Nowadays, scientific studies and research has revealed much more information than was previously known. Deca Durabolin is both a mild and strong drug, exhibiting both properties.

One point in its favor is that Deca Durabolin has a very low conversion rate to estrogen, so that the side effects of estrogen are lower in Deca than in other anabolic steroids.

However, the side effects are not totally removed. They are just more manageable but people taking Deca should know that they still exist.

Some common side effects of estrogen can include water retention, bloating, and gynecomastia. Because Deca is a progestin, it can increase the levels of prolactin in the body. Both progestin and prolactin have similar side effects like estrogen that manifest in swollen nipples, bloating, gynecomastia, and so on. Aromatase inhibitors and anti-estrogens are used to fight these side effects even though they have an affinity for the progesterone receptor.

Vitamin B6 has been used to control the levels of prolactin to prevent prolactin issues and this has been proved in studies using strength of 600mg regularly. Anti-prolactin drugs like bromocriptine and cabergoline are also able to reduce the high levels of prolactin quite well, and they are often what is first prescribed to treat prolactin problems.

Nandrolone is not a C17-AA compound, and so no side effects on the liver have been found. Deca can show a small amount of androgenic side effects, but like the estrogenic ones, it is not as worrying, but should still be kept in mind and monitored. The side effects of androgen increase of oily skin and acne, increase in facial and body hair, a higher risk of male pattern baldness or MPB and a higher risk of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Nandrolone also shows some side effects that can be found in all anabolic steroids, like, disruption and/or stopping of the functions of the hypothalamic pituitary testicular axis or HPTA, and it has a negative impact on cardiovascular functioning. For a very long time, Deca was thought to have only a mild effect on both HPTA and natural endogenous testosterone levels. Studies have since proved this to be wrong and shown that even in small quantities of 100 mg, Deca suppresses endogenous testosterone production very fast by almost 60% and this only increases very fast if higher doses of Deca are used. This is true for any 19-nor compound, and it is because all 19-nor compounds are progestins in nature.

The effect of Deca Durabolin on the cardiovascular system is quite worrying. Recent discoveries have revealed some more worrying information. Firstly, Deca Durabolin reduces HDL or good cholesterol by almost 26% if it is regularly used for over 10 weeks. Also, when you compare it with testosterone, nandrolone in general has a worse effect on cholesterol. Apart from this worrying piece of information, some recent data has shown that Deca is 11 times more harmful to blood vessels than testosterone.

People want to use Deca Durabolin, because as stated earlier, it is thought to have less side effects than other anabolic steroids. Deca Durabolin is also sold under names like metadec, Decauneurabol, and retabolil. However, Deca Durabolin is not as harmless as is commonly perceived. The acne is so large that they can burst at any time and cause a mess.

Steroid use is often combined with a high protein diet, but if you cannot digest it, then it negates the muscle buildup.

Male Features: In women, Deca Durabolin has been known to bring about enlargement of the clitoris, a messed up menstrual cycle, and a voice that becomes deeper, amongst others.
